Heart of Texas 2026

Thank you for your interest in presenting your work at the annual Heart of Texas Undergraduate Research Conference (HoT), hosted by Baylor Undergraduate Research in Science and Technology (BURST)! This conference was created in a virtual format to fill the gap in presentation opportunities in the past few years, give undergraduate researchers an opportunity to share their research, and foster connections among researchers in Texas and beyond.

Undergraduates from any STEM field are invited to give a 15 minute oral presentation about their research followed by 3-5 minutes of questions from a judging panel. All presentations will be done live and virtually over Zoom. Presenters will be grouped into divisions by field and include undergraduates from various colleges so that students have an opportunity to learn about research at other institutions. Group presentations are allowed (see the FAQs tab on the left for more info). Awards will be given to outstanding presentations per division.

The deadline and submission form will be released near the end of January.
