Each spring, BURST hosts the HoT virtual conference, where students across STEM disciplines present their research through 10-12 minute oral presentations. Baylor students join peers from universities across the country to share discoveries and research experiences. Faculty serve as judges in breakout rooms and awards are given to the outstanding presentations.

Participation Details
Conference Format
Live Virtual Event: Conducted entirely via Zoom breakout rooms.
Oral Presentations: 10–12 minute live talk followed by 2–3 minutes of judge Q&A.
Multidisciplinary: Presenters are organized into specific breakout rooms based on their research category (e.g., Biology, Chemistry)
Requirements
Abstract Body: 300 words maximum summarizing your research.
PI Approval: All authors and the Principal Investigator involved must give permission.
Eligibility: Undergraduate researchers of all classifications.
Attire: Business Casual Recommended | Cost: Always Free | Awards: Given for Outstanding Presentations in each division.
