When is HoT?
HoT is held annually near the end of April, specific dates and times for 2026 will be announced soon.
How long are the presentations supposed to be?
Undergraduates will give a 15 minute oral presentation about their research followed by 3-5 minutes of questions from a judging panel.
Are group presentations allowed for HoT?
Yes! Group presentations are allowed. Just ensure that all authors have approved the abstract and that the names of all contributors are included on the abstract submission form.
How do the BURST members attend HoT?
BURST members will attend in person at the BSB. While presenters and judges will participate via Zoom, BURST members will be viewing the presentations in designated rooms, which are separated by research divisions.
What are the different categories?
The research divisions include: Anthropology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Clinical, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geosciences, Mathematics, Neuroscience, Physics, Psychology, Public Health, and Sociology.
