Our 2025 Keynote Speaker
Dr. Lathan Lucas is a Postdoctoral Associate at Baylor College of Medicine in the Ferreon Lab, where he studies protein biochemistry and biophysics in the context of neurodegenerative disease. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical, Physical, and Structural Biology from Baylor College of Medicine and his B.S. in Biochemistry from Baylor University.
His work explores how protein structural changes influence disease mechanisms, integrating insights from biochemistry, biophysics, and neuroscience. Committed to mentorship and education, Dr. Lucas will share his research journey—from undergraduate studies at Baylor to his postdoctoral work—offering students a window into scientific discovery and career development.
