Celebrating Undergraduate Research and Career Development
Each Fall, students from all disciplines present their research posters and connect with faculty, graduate students, and peers, while representatives from research programs, internships, and professional organizations share opportunities and resources. Together, RID fosters meaningful connections and highlights the spirit of discovery within Baylor's research community.

The deadline for signing up is has been extended to Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, at 11:59 PM CST.
The only criterion for the poster is that the size should be no larger than 48 inches wide x 36 inches high.

Our 2026 Keynote Speaker
Dr. Braden Hanson is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington. Braden grew up in a small town north of Houston and started attending Baylor University in 2015. In 2019, he graduated from Baylor with a BS in Biology. During his studies at Baylor he focused his studies on courses such as CILI-CURE and SEA-PHAGE, and biocomputing.
Upon graduation, Braden received an offer to become a research technician/lab manager at Texas A&M University for a new wet lab focusing on Urinary tract infections. He later joined the same lab as a graduate student to focus on research to combat antimicrobial resistance. He successfully defended his dissertation in June of 2025. After completing his PhD, Braden received a TL1 fellowship to do postdoctoral work at the University of Washington. His research at UW is still in the field of UTI but has taken a more translational approach to help improve culture-based diagnostics for UTI.
